Charles Stanley's dates are speculative and are based on the claim in the Stanley Family Tree in PRONI and also in the Montgomery Manuscripts. While the Stanley Family Tree suggests there may be several generations missing between the first mentioned Charles Stanley and the second Charles Stanley. If we take the Rev. George Hill's account that Charles Stanley who lived to 104 died in 1794, then a birth date of 1689/90 would be a likely age to father Thomas in 1720. The fact that he had 3 sons and 4 daughters and the sons were named and the daughters not may reflect the information was drawn from a will or possibly a lease.
