The family are recorded as both Tweedie and Tweedie, I have used the Tweedy version throughout as that was the spelling my grandmother used.

Thomas and Sarah were married in the Parish Church, Waringstown. On their marriage registration both are described as being of full age and living in Waringstown. Thomas is a gardener, and his father John is a surface man. Sarah is a servant and her father is Robert Flanagan, a weaver. At the time Thomas and Sarah were probably employed on the Waring Estate in Waringstown.

Their first child Margaret was born on 4th November 1888, and the address is given as Rectory Lodge, Seapatrick, Co Down.

Their second child Mary Eva [my grandmother] was born on 31st October 1889, the address is given as Byturn. This is a townland in the Parish of Ardstraw, Co Tyrone.

Their third child Louisa Jane was born on 21st December 1890, in Tievenny a townland in the Parish of Ardstraw, Co Tyrone.

Their fourth child Robert was born on 20th March 1892 in Byturn.

Their fifth child William John was born on 30th January 1894 in Tamnagh a townland in the Parish of Ardstraw, Co Tyrone.

Their sixth child Thomas was born on 28th April 1896 in Tamnagh.

Their seventh child Alexander was born on 20th June 1898 in Lisnacree, a townland in the Parish of Kilkeel, Co Down.

Their eighth child Sarah was born on 26th October 1899 in Lisnacree.

Their ninth child Henry was born on 29th April 1902 in Lisnacree, he died 3 years later on 22nd September 1905 from acute bronchitis.

Thomas's employment presumably by the Waring family during this period are listed as gardener, labourer, groom and steward.
