Obituary of Alma Eugenie Sandford

The death of Mrs. Alma Eugenie Sandford took place at her residence at the Mall, Armagh, on Sunday last [6th June 1937] . Mrs. Sandford was a daughter of the late Mr. John Stanley and Mrs Stanley, of the Pavilion, Armagh. She was the widow of the late Rev. Herbert Sandford, formerly Rector of Kildarton, Killylea, and St. Peter's, Drogheda.

She was in her 83rd year.

On Wednesday the remains were interred in St. Peter's, Drogheda, the funeral being private.

Many beautiful wreaths were sent.

The Ven. Archdeacon of Armagh, the Very Rev. the Dean of Armagh, Rev Canon H. Todd, Rev. R. W. S. Maltby, and Rev. C. St. C. Stewart, Rector of St. Peter's, officiated.

The principal mourners were:- Mrs. G. H. Mills, Mrs. R. W. S. Maltby (daughters); Commander W. H. Sandford, R.N., Captain C. S. Sandford, R.N., Lt.-Colonel H. R. Sandford, Captain G. D. Sandford (sons); Major Rupert Stanley, Mr. Stanley Hardy (nephews); Mr C. Maltby (grandson); Mrs. Gerald Sandford (daughter-in-law); Mr George H. Mills (son-in-law).

Messrs. R. R. Loudan, Armagh, had charge of the funeral arrangements.
