The Death of William George Jackson 1957
Mr. George Jackson, formerly of Bessbrook, died recently in the U.S.A. Mr. Jackson was a son of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Jackson, College Square (W.), Bessbrook. He was a mechanic in the works of Bessbrook Spinning Co. Ltd., where his father was foreman hackle setter.
He was married to a Bessbrook lady, Miss Burns, of Fountain Street. A singer of great ability he was a former member of Bessbrook Presbyterian Church choir. He is survived by a sister, Mrs. A. Linton (Belfast), who also sang in Christ Church choir, and another sister, the late Miss Ethel Jackson, was Bessbrook's golden voice contralto.

Note: George's wife was not Miss Burns but was a Sarah S. Stewart. It was George's sister Jeannie who married William Burns of Fountain Street, that created the link between the families.
