The inscription on the headstone reads as follows:

"PASSED ON"
22nd DEC 1931, AGED 85
LADY ANNIE STANLEY
DIED Ist MAY 1946
While the text along the surround of the grave reads as follows:
THE LORD SHALL BE A LIGHT UNTO ME
HE WILL BRING ME FORTH
TO THE LIGHT AND I SHALL BEHOLD HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS MICAH 7.8.9.
Sir John Stanley died on the 7th December 1931, but "passed on" on 22nd December. I wonder why that was?
